Caregiver Resources

Caregiving is difficult and the decisions caregivers make are difficult. They are complicated, involving different, sometimes conflicting, factors. And they almost always come with time pressures, emotional pressures, and stress. Caregiving can also trigger a host of difficult emotions, including anger, fear, resentment, guilt, helplessness, and grief. The resources found here can help caregivers get the support they need while caring for someone they love.

Caregiver Action Network

The Caregiver Action Network (CAN) is a nonprofit organization providing education, peer support, and resources to family caregivers across the country free of charge. They serve a broad spectrum of family caregivers ranging from the parents of children with special needs, to the families and friends of wounded soldiers; from a young couple dealing with a diagnosis of MS, to adult children caring for parents with Alzheimer’s disease. Here you will find education, peer support and resources for family caregivers.
